The annual Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis is quickly approaching. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 children and young adults in the United States. I am walking on behalf of my two brothers with CF. This year in addition to collecting donations I’m also selling bracelets to raise money for the CF Foundation. The bracelets are themed with a public service announcement for Cystic Fibrosis that my brother appeared in with Milwaukee Brewers former pitcher Pete Ladd in 1985 (the photo above is from the commercial shoot).

The bracelets are adult sized (.5 x 8 inches) silk-screened silicone. "Cure It Old School ’85" with the red balloon symbol is printed around the outside and "Cystic Fibrosis" is embossed (raised lettering) on the inside. Each bracelet comes packaged in a red organza bag with ribbon drawstring closure. The attached tag reads “Honorary Member of Team Cure It Old School” on one side with a red balloon on the reverse.

The bracelets are being sold for $10 (US Dollars) + shipping. 100% of the $10 purchase price will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (the postal system gets 100% of the shipping cost). There is a maximum of five bracelets per person. If you would like to make a donation of less than $10 please click on the photo at the top of this entry. Bracelet Ordering Information (do not use order info on my profile page): Send an e-mail to cureitoldschool@gmail.com with your full name, number of bracelets being ordered, and your full mailing address. I will send you a PayPal invoice in a reply e-mail. PayPal will accept credit cards, check/debit cards, and Paypal accounts (you do not need a PayPal account to order). I will not be accepting cash, checks, or money orders for on-line orders. Your order will ship once payment is received. Shipping is $1.75 for US orders and $3.00 for international orders (US dollars).

The Great Strides Walk for Milwaukee is May 17 this year. My Great Strides donation page accepts contributions year round. Any bracelets purchased after May 17 will have their donation money applied to next years walk.
